The end is finally here and it is very rewarding knowing that everything is completed. Last week in class I was able to complete everything for my web page that was not finished. I was amazed to see how simple some of the steps were once I found what I was looking for. It was also helpful to have my wonderful group that was very helpful throughout the process!!:) Once everything was completed, I was very content with knowing that I had created everything and that I would be able to continue to do so in the future! I look forward to using all of the skills and ideas I have learned in this class in the near future!!

AAAH! Yet again I have found myself redoing assignments three times. I spent the majority of class last week getting my movie completed. I do not have windowmakers at my house so I needed to do it in class. I feel frustrated that I keep having to redo things when I could just be doing the first one. But the good news is the movie is done and posted to my site. I am looking forward to completing all the other assignments so I can be finished:)

The next entry has to deal with the questions posed about a picture of myself.
How would I create a self-portrait? I would base it off of pictures I have of myself that are special memories.
What would I want to communicate to viewers? I would like people to see qualities about myself by including different symbols in the picture that reflect these.
Are they characteristics from the inside or outside of my picture? The majority would be from the outside because they are easier to portray using symbols, but there are some that could be from the inside.

For this journal I am supposed to reflect and answer questions that correlate with the picture assignment.
Do I see any patterns in the words? Yes, they were all positive attributes. I did not consider that negative ones could have gone on there. I guess that means I tend to focus on the positive.:)
Does anything surprise me? Not really.
Who would I share them with? Friends and Family.
What would their descriptions be? I think that they would be fairly similiar. Many of the words that I listed were things people have mentioned in the past.
What did I learn about myself? That there are many good qualities I possess:)

I am feeling frustrated still with a couple of things. First I have completed a powerpoint I was very happy with, but I must change it because the topic needs to be different. The one I created would be beneficial for my students to use, so I will still use it. Then I redid the power point and it got deleted when my computer and work froze. So I have redid it yet again, but I don't feel the topic is as appropriate for my students to use. I feel it is better when you can create things in class that you can turn around and use directly in your own classroom.

Unfortunately I was not able to attend class this week. I have contacted my group and they have informed me (hopefully:) ) of what I need to know. I did have some problems with the second part of assignment 14. I spent a long time trying to figure it out. I think part of the problem was with my computer being MAC and I didn't know how to adjust that assignment to it. I contacted people from the class and I have discovered some of my classmates were also struggling. Hopefully it will all work out! I need to get working on the other projects. I plan on doing the newsletter this week.

I love my group! I am really looking forward to working with such a great group of people! I think that we are all going to be learning a lot together, but at the same time we have fun. I also think that they are going to be a great resource for help on things. For the most part I am doing ok on the work. I am finding that there is a slight difference with my MAC computer but nothing that I haven't figured out. I think I need to get moving on things because the deadlines are a coming!

I am looking forward to working in the group. I like the fact that we are all at different levels and points in our careers because everyone brings something different to the group. I also like the project because I enjoy using children's literature to plan things. I am feeling better about the assignments. I am not as overwhelmed as I was in the beginning. I am excited to keep adding things to my web page!

I have been working on my web page and have overcome some challenges. I did have some problems with getting the page published, but I finally figured out how to do it. It was very gratifying to see it posted at its site. I also figured out the different ways to open it in the correct format. I look forward to adding more to it!

Wednesday's class was a little stressful with the pop quiz. The two chapters we were assigned were a lot of infomation to take in. It was challenging to recall all of it for the quiz especially because there was so many details. I feel that I did pretty well and hope to do even better if we are asked to take another quiz.

Feeling a little better! I just need to slow down and follow the steps. I tend to rush through and skip over things. It is a very rewarding experience to see the final outcome when I have done it correctly. I am nervous to see the future activities because they seem to be building up to more difficult levels. That is why I think I need to understand the basics before I move on.

Today is the first day in class, and I am excited to be working on new things with technology. There are many things that I have worked with in the past, but I would not say I am near proficient at this point. This class will give me the opportunity to consider myself comfortable in multiple areas and apply what I have learned with my classroom. I will say that I am nervous about the amount of work that is required, but I have a feeling that it is not as overwhelming as it initially seemed.
